I have been living in the Northwest for over 25 years now and consider this region my home. I met my wife of 18 years while living here and we have a beautiful daughter. I am a graduate of  UNC-Chapel Hill, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Physics. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, camping with my family, and mountain biking all over our beautiful state. I have been involved in financial services and planning for over 19 years and have seen a lot of transformation in our craft.  The one fundamental that has NOT changed is the idea that good planning and accountability can get us through the best of times and the worst of times.  I believe that everyone is given an ever changing box of financial puzzle pieces that, when put together properly, can reveal a clearer picture of financial security and well being.

My favorite, and most rewarding part of being a CFP® Professional is building long term relationships with our families and our community to help become steward of their financial future.  The world is changing faster than ever before and I am proud that our planners and our firm are positioned to help navigate all of the ongoing and never-ending change.

It is Mainsail’s privilege and great honor to be able to serve others in this way.  If we can help guide our families toward making more informed financial decisions that take them into a more meaningful and enjoyable future, then we have succeeded in our mission.

I have had the privilege of being designated a *Five Star Wealth Manager by Seattle Magazine in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

*Based on 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria, including a minimum of 5 years as an active credentialed financial professional, favorable regulatory and complaint history, accepts new clients, client retention rates, client assets administered, education, and professional designations. 2452 Seattle area wealth managers were considered for the award; 266 (11 percent of candidates) were named 2018 Five Star Wealth Managers.  (The criteria provided reflects the most recent year for which advisor received the award. The criteria used, the number of wealth managers considered for the award, and the percentage of those who receive the award, may vary from year to year). These awards are not indicative of the wealth managers' future performance. Your experiences may vary. For more information, please visit

My belief is that the more knowledgeable you feel, the more empowered and confident you will be in making financial decisions.  For that reason, education is one of the core fundamentals of my practice and my client relationships.

A Washington State resident for nearly all of my life, I spent most of my upbringing in the Seattle area, graduated from WSU and currently reside in the Bellevue area.  I truly enjoy the synergy that exists between the business and personal sides of life and feel that as much as business is a part of my life, my life is also a part of my business and I strive to bring the two together when possible.  Outside the office I enjoy spending time on the golf course, playing hockey, and enjoying a variety of outdoor pursuits--especially in the PNW summers.

For more than two decades, I have been an operation, logistics, and client relations professional, most recently as the sole operator of a consulting business.  I truly value the client relationship and enjoy seeing my clients feel empowered and confident in all aspects of their business, especially when it comes to healthy finances. As we finish out 2019, I look forward to transitioning my focus to the Financial Service Industry as a part of Mainsail Financial Group and anticipate completion of the prequisite exams to become a Financial Advisor in early 2020.

In addition to my business interests, I'm a writer of comics, poetry, and creative non-fiction, as well as a patron of literary, performing, and fine arts.  I live in Snohomish County with my spouse, two spoiled dogs, and a giant cat.
